Votes For Women Button: 1915/2020
1915 was the year the first Woman Voters Convention was held with delegates from suffrage states. Suffrage envoys were selected during the Convention to transport a petition cross-country to Congress and President Wilson.
The suffrage envoys arrived in Washington D.C. in time for the opening of 64th Congress and the first Federal woman suffrage amendment was introduced in the House of Representatives and the Senate. They were both defeated. Yet, we persisted and we were victorious.
