Elaine Arsenault
Elaine Arsenault likes to make things. She has always made things. So, when she needed a new bag, naturally, she simply made herself one.
With a background in sculpture and an art degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz, Elaine hand-stitched her first bag in 1992. The bags have evolved over the years, but the basic idea remains the same - functional classics that will never go out of style.
Elaine designs simple and elegant handbags with clean lines and pleasing shapes, absent of fussiness and non-essential ornamentation. Known for her impeccable workmanship and her ability to put together interesting materials, Elaine constructs bags that are just as nice on the inside as on the outside, their patterned linings a delightful detail. And let’s not forget, they are lightweight, durable and utilitarian.
Over 25 year later, Elaine still designs, cuts, sews and finishes each bag herself. And we’re happy for that!
